I am working at Ochre Medical Centre in Garran. My books are now closed to new patients.
I will continue to work Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
Due to rising costs I am no longer offering a bulk-billed service.
Unfortunately I do not have capacity to work outside of booked appointments, and an appointment should be made for all actions including referrals, scripts or paperwork (please see below). It may be possible to do some scripts and referrals via a Hotdocs request.
How to Make a Booking
The easiest way to book is online via the Ochre Garran booking website via Hotdocs.
If you prefer to call and speak to the reception staff please note that the phones are very busy and you may be on hold for some time.
What kind of appointment should you book?
When booking please consider the amount of time that you may need. As a general rule, in a 15 minute appointment 2-3 issues can be addressed. Long appointments should be booked for all mental health consults, mental health care plans and reviews, and where multiple issues are on your list. A long appointment is also needed for a commercial drivers licence assessment. If you are not sure, please check with our reception staff.
It is recommended that patients attend in person or via telehealth for results. I do not have capacity to offer results discussions outside of booked appointments.
Scripts for regular medications
Many of my patients are on medications that do not need to be changed at every visit. If your medications are stable, I am happy to do a telehealth appointment for scripts or order your scripts through Hotdocs if I am your regular prescriber, and I have seen you within the last six months. This will incur a private fee with a medicare rebate available when appropriate. Please be aware that it may take 2 working days for your request to be actioned.
Urgent Review
I offer a number book on day appointments for urgent review. Book on day appointments are opened online in the morning, and then reception will hold a small number to triage for urgent matters. It is worthwhile keeping an eye on the Hotdocs app as patients often cancel appointments throughout the day, and these will be made available online.
If you are unable to get an appointment within the timeframe you need please ask to be put on our cancellation list, and we will do our best to accommodate you. The admin team work hard to manage the list and accommodate people as patients cancel. Alternatively, one of the other doctors who consult at the practice may also be able to see you.
After Hours Care
For telehealth please consider utilising the Ochre Anytime telehealth service. The doctors providing services will have access to your medical records at Ochre Garran.

New patients
My books are now closed to new patients. If you are a previous patient of mine from another clinic please email reception at Ochre Garran to go on the wait list.
I will continue to accept new patients for Focussed Psychological Strategies under a mental health care plan with referral for your GP for mild depression and anxiety. All MHCPs must be triaged before your appointment can be booked.
