Over the next few months I am doing something I have limited experience doing, solo travel. I have travelled a bit for work over the years and an occasional holiday, but this time I am setting off to tick off some things on my bucket list with some serious time away.
I find it hard to wind down after a busy period, so my first port has been Denarau in Fiji. This stunning place has given me peace and quiet, delicious meals and beautiful sunshine, of course with plenty of sunscreen and beneath the umbrella by the pool.
Five days in, I have worked my way through five novels. I will keep my Goodreads profile up to date as the wifi allows.
My favourite thing here has been the quiet. Sitting on the patio, watching the finches in the morning, the sunset in the evening and walking on the beach. Simple moments to be present for.
