Milano heatwave

My final days in Italy were spent back in Milano. I had a great little Airbnb which was an old monastery complete with an ancient key for the door that needed to be turned six times to lock.

The weather was hot, so it was strictly morning sightseeing and rest in the afternoons. I enjoyed having my own kitchen to do some salads for dinner.

Of course, as this was a Saturday I was not travelling I needed to find a Parkrun. The 45 min train ride was worth the great atmosphere and meeting the First Timer briefer, Sophie, outside the train station made finding it so much easier.

My final meal in Italy was a splurge. The truffle pasta was truly something special.

An early morning train, the quietest I saw the city as I made my way to the station.
