Solo travel has been enormous fun, but if you are getting into a rollercoaster it is more fun to have someone next to you laughing as you throw your hands in the air and yell “weeeeeeeee!”
Our trip commenced with Tivoli. Gardens, rides and lots of food. We were there early and perhaps didn’t understand just how high and spinny the first ride was going to be – but it was too late once we were up and there and we did survive. the view of the whole city was amazing.
We visited the Rosenberg Castle and treasury and saw the history of the royal family preserved in portraits, trinkets and tapestry.

The King’s garden next door has beautiful roses and was filled with kids out for some morning sunshine and duck viewing.

A Saturday in a city means a Parkrun, and Copenhagen gave us a beautiful one. It seemed to be mainly Parkrun tourists and I found a lovely Scottish lady to walk with and have a good park chat.
If you get to the parkrun be sure to pack a towel for a swim after.

Our next stop is Stockholm.
